I am a 26 year old South African girl from Pretoria. I have always loved dogs, but after becoming a vegetarian, more that 2 years ago, I became a bigger animal freak.
A Dog I met in China. Luckily a Pet.
Why did I become a vegetarian? I was living in China and used to pass a restaurant that serves dog meat everyday on the bus. At first it really upset me, but then I relized it was a cultural thing and it wasn’t that much different from eating cows, sheep, pigs or chickens … and I knew that I no longer wanted to eat meat.
A restaurant that serves dog meat. Not the one I used to pass on the bus. That one was worse. It had a cage packed with dogs outside in front of the building.
